FAQ'S

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Revupp Studio

1. Our Services & Process

Q: What services does Revupp Studio offer? A: We are a full-service web design and digital marketing company specializing in creating high-quality, professional websites and providing strategic marketing solutions to help your business grow online.

Q: What is your website deployment process? A: We begin design work immediately upon agreement and initial payment (if required by your specific package). However, we only deploy the fully completed website to your chosen domain name and make it live after the final payment has been made in full.

2. Website Ownership, Maintenance, and Fees

Q: Who owns the domain name and website files? A:

Domain Name: If Revupp Studio manages your website (hosting, maintenance, etc.), we will register and maintain the domain name under our control. This allows us to ensure continuous service and prompt renewal.

Website Content/Design: You own all the original content (text, images you provide) and the finalized design we create for you.

Full Ownership/Migration: If you decide to take full, independent ownership of the site, we will provide you with the website design we created. The site is built on third-party software, and while we set up and design it for you, that software will automatically be deducting a monthly subscription charge from you for its use, separate from our service fees.

Q: What happens if I miss a payment for management or hosting? A: We offer a one-day grace period for all recurring service payments (e.g., hosting or management). Failure to make the required payment within 1 day of the due date will unfortunately result in the immediate suspension and closure of your website and related services, including email, until the outstanding balance is settled.

3. Legal and Compliance

Q: What South African laws must my website comply with? A: As a web design and marketing studio operating in South Africa, we build websites with compliance in mind. Key legislation that impacts your site includes:

Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA): This is crucial. Your website must comply with POPIA's eight conditions for the lawful processing of personal information, especially regarding data collected through contact forms, newsletters, and analytics. Failure to comply can result in significant penalties.

Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA): If you sell products or services online (e-commerce), ECTA sets out requirements for contracts, electronic signatures, cooling-off periods for consumers, and providing comprehensive business information (name, physical address, registration number, etc.) on your website.

Consumer Protection Act (CPA): While not exclusively for online, the CPA's provisions regarding clear pricing, accurate descriptions, and quality of goods/services apply to any transactions conducted via your website.

Q: Does Revupp Studio guarantee full legal compliance for my business? A: While we design and develop your website to meet best practice standards regarding POPIA, ECTA, and CPA, we are a web design and marketing firm, not a law firm. You remain responsible for the content you provide and for ensuring your overall business operations and legal policies (such as your specific Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions) are fully compliant with all applicable South African laws. We highly recommend consulting with a legal professional to draft your specific legal documentation.
